For the Gospel's Sake (Blog Vision)

Updated: Sep 7, 2023

Welcome to the “For the Gospel’s Sake” blog! I am very grateful that you chose to take the time to check out my website. I’m Mission, a teenage missionary kid who enjoys reading, writing, and playing my guitar, all for the glory of God. In this post, I would like to share my vision for this blog.

The Mentality

1 Corinthians 9:23 says “And this I do for the gospel’s sake, that I may be partaker thereof with you.” This is the mentality that I believe every born-again Christian ought to have. We have all been given one life to live. When we stand before God’s throne in Heaven after our life has ended, only one thing will matter: what we accomplished for the gospel’s sake.

The Gospel

So, what is this gospel that we ought to dedicate our life to? Simply put, it is good news for the whole world. John 3:16 sums it up well: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Jesus Christ is God who became human in order to save humankind from eternal condemnation. The following verse, John 3:17, says “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” The gospel is the good news that Jesus provided a way for us to live in true freedom. All we have to do is accept His gift.

Romans 8:34 says “Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.” Christ died for us, but He didn’t stay dead. Because He rose again, we too can rise again, and because He is “at the right hand of God” making intercession for us, we too can be in the presence of God in Heaven someday. “When Jesus entered Heaven, the doors opened wide for Him, and He left the doors open behind Him.” - Dr. Scott Pauley, evangelist.

The Blog Vision

That being said, my prayer and vision for this website is to provide encouragement to believers who desire to live their lives “for the gospel’s sake”. We will be on this journey together. I will be providing devotional posts, weekly verses, stories and poems, and recommendations for Christian resources that will help you as you strive to live wholeheartedly devoted to the gospel. I pray that God will allow me to be a blessing to you.

Your sister in Christ,
